    "Mars- Gackt

In General its a pretty good album with tracks that show of his voice and vocal range very well and his music writing skills

Ares - Simple voice opening to start the showing of his voice a good intro 8/10

Asrun Dream - lead into perfectly by Ares, starts with synth gackt but soon goes into his normal voice strongly, the song is demanding on his voice with high notes having to be held  in time with the music, it has a good piano piece lead into a guitar solo, there is a bit built up well lead to him singing very strongly, the ending is him singing high but very good not to overpowerful. A good vibe song with lots of flare and good to dance to 8/10

~for my dear~ A good instumental opening with a solid bass background his voice gives the melody, and a good use of guitar, the chorus is very strong and i enjoy it alot the guitar is brought in strongly for it.. good guitar solo follows leads to gackts voice over some synth to show it well..when u think it has stopped it starts again but like the first verse, leads into a even stronger chorus. the end is a bit boring though  9/10

U+K - The opening shows its going to be a very upbeat song, ok for showing his range, very good chorus one of my favourite on the album, very interesting backing track to it, not sure on the 'na na' and gackt malice laugh scares me...but followed by a good guitar solo, the rest of the song is similar in a slightly different range, the ending is funny (in my opinion 9/10

Vanilla - Ah the popular song^^ you can see why, he sings the song quite low and quite fast but this has a very good backing to keep it lively, he reaches quite high notes in the chorus, i think this is the best song for showing his actual range. The first time i heard it i was dancing everywhere..and i still do...it doesnt bored me. And it has a good guitar solo (it has a funny dance in the live version) It is a very good to sing to if you know the lyrics to... i dont enjoy when he decides to sing the chorus slighlt higher cause it makes the high bit even higher for him. I can see why it is very popular 10/10

freesia~op. 1~ Very quite and slower than the other ones, but its much prettier and uses the instuments much better, i like it when it get some more emotion i really makes me have a fuzzy feeling cause its almost like i know the emotion, he releases it really well. and it closes into a nice short instrumental ending and its a very short song... i wish it was longer 10/10

fressia~op. 2~ A totally instrumental piece to show his skill in writing it has a good use of violins and piano mix to it it goes perfectly with the song before, but not with the upbeat vibe of the earlier tracks. It may be short but its simple to op. 1 9/10

Illness Illusion - Gackts voice is quite wierd at the beginning and it scares me a bit, but he starts to lose the dodgy accent and starts to sing properly when he does its amazing, very strong. This song has a slightly olden french feel to it (as my dad says) towards the centre its very amazing, The problem is its a bit repetitive. the gradual slow at the end is good thou 7/10

Mirror - Back to the upbeat, but with alot more use of instrument than the others, his voice compliments this song very well, the use of guitar and violin together is very good. The problem with the song is that because you get used to the short one it seems too long. The quite bit in the middle is a simple show of the violin. The song is rather boring and repetitive to the end, i really didnt want to finish listening to it, but i did for review perposes. But it does have a good show of violin solo at the end. 5/10

dears - this is the name of his official site and starts of quite well with instruments adding gradually to his voice, which then just goes over a simple guitar backing which makes it very pretty. It a pretty slow song to start with but soon gets very upbeat, with instuments added, but enjoyable and i did dance to it during my reviewing^^ It stays fairly simple after that bit, but soon goes upbeat again, its a good blend of upbeat and slightly downbeat music, it has some very good violining again, which makes me think of the summer which is good for the bloody cold weather we have it is slightly shorter than mirror but doesnt drag out like mirror does 10/10

OASIS - Very good start with interesting synth its in between up and down beat which is good, it has a very strong oriental theme i think and he uses his voice in a wide range to complient this, i really enjoy when he goes into the chorus because he holds a long note before it then goes into it perfectly. This is another good song for his range, hitting high and low notes. It has a very good Strong guitar solo, followed by his high voice perfectly...and into the chorus after a short pause, it almost perfect^^, after 3:30 i did want it to end soon but still had another minute to wait, but he didnt sing and it was just the backing, and i enjoyed that 9/10

Konodaremoinaiheyade - Nice guitar opening suggests its going to be a nice mellow song he starts with his voice at a beautiful level. the backing gains a nice horn sound, then the guitar riff changes in a perfect blend so and does again its beautiful, it then goes back to the starting riff, then more instuments are added like the drums, building up the song, it plays like this for a while so you can get the feel of it. And of course if the music builds up so does his voice and he comes in slightly stronger, he sings the chorus again but in a different tone as the first one, he sings it in the same tone again but then sings in a much higher tone strong and powerful to give the last track a perfect feel, the end of it is ruined slightly by a chorus of 'lala's' it doesnt suit it very well and with about 2 minutes left its the longest song on the album but only now is it starting to bore you   8/10

MY favourite song on the album is dears and freesia~op. 1~ as they have alot of emotion and i feel that is important in an album of this type, the major problem with the album was it was too repetative for me."
